Emphasis in Beauty Management

The “Emphasis in Beauty Management” is an accredited program at the Master’s level, developed in collaboration with leading universities, institutions, and authorities in North America, Europe, and Australia.

The program is designed for graduates of certified beauty institutes and academies, offering continuous learning at the master’s level in beauty management.

NORDIC IBTC will become the first academy in the Middle East and Asia to offer this distinguished Higher Education Level program.

 

Students can register for up to three courses at once, allowing them to complete the program in a minimum of five months before beginning their Senior Thesis and Project.

Upon completion and passing of the final exams, graduates of the “Emphasis in Beauty Management” will receive an internationally accredited and attested degree from the United States.

The “Emphasis in Beauty Management” program consists of nine courses, offered twice weekly for six weeks each.

Professor Albert S. Fakhoury is a distinguished professional and academic in the fields of architecture and design. He serves as the President of the Council for International Accreditation of Architecture and Design and is the founder of the Innovation and Sustainability Centre at the Canadian University in Dubai.

Previously, he held the position of Chair and Professor of Architecture and Interior Design at the American University in Dubai and has also taught at prestigious institutions such as Notre Dame.

In October 2015, Albert S. Fakhoury was elected as an Executive Board Member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). He has successfully led several initiatives for achieving academic and professional accreditations, including NAAB, CIDA, and NASAD. Since 2015, he has chaired the International Network Committee of the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC). He is consistently featured on the Power List of top architects and designers worldwide.

Professor Fakhoury has chaired and participated in numerous international jury panels, reflecting his extensive expertise and impressive academic qualifications. He has had the honor of delivering keynote speeches at various international venues, conferences, congresses, and universities. He is widely regarded as a respected accreditor, leading many international accreditation panels responsible for reviewing and accrediting programs in Architecture, Engineering, and Design.

In 2016, he was honored with the International Design Award (Best Architect and Designer), the highest accolade in the field of design, in recognition of his exceptional contributions. Professionally, Albert S. Fakhoury is a renowned architect and designer who has contributed to numerous landmark projects across the US, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Europe. His expertise spans various areas such as hospitality, commercial and residential design, urban planning, and landscaping. He earned prestigious accolades for his exceptional management skills and successful ventures in consultancy and turnkey solutions.

Professor Albert S. Fakhoury is a distinguished stage and set designer. His passion for this art form is evident in his work, which has been further refined through his Doctoral studies. His designs for prominent events, plays, pageants, and exhibitions both domestically and abroad are renowned for their cohesive composition, innovative concepts, and uplifting vision.

Dr. Jasmine Shahin is an interior architect and university professor based in Dubai. Before joining DIDI’s full-time faculty, she taught interior design and architectural history/theory at several institutions. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree (BFA in Interior Design) in 2000, she trained with one of the largest architectural firms in the Middle East. In 2007, she traveled to the UK, where she received both her MPhil (2010) and PhD (2020) in Architectural and Urban Theory.

Jasmine Shahin has authored several publications and presented numerous papers at international conferences. Her latest book, “The Poetics of Arabian Sūqs” (2023), focuses on the importance of phenomenological hermeneutics in understanding the development of historical places in relation to contingent socio-cultural experiences.

In 2020, Shahin founded NU Design Bureau, complementing her academic experience with a strong portfolio of successful interior design projects. Shahin is also a WELL-accredited professional, assisting individual and corporate clients to embrace designs that support well-being and sustainable living.

Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Beauty Management

Ana Elia is a creative Interior Designer and Assistant Professor at the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI). After graduating with honors from the University of Guanajuato in Mexico, she started her career in the furniture design industry, working with prestigious international brands.

Driven by great ambition and a willingness of expanding her horizons, Ana demonstrated a particular interest in global and international design, with an emphasis on sustainable solutions and innovative products. She participated in international competitions and Design Thinking challenges organized by the Council for International Accreditation of Architecture & Design-CIAAD, emerging among the winners.

She joined PRECIOSA GROUP in 2021. After training in Europe and working on various projects in the Middle East, ranging from prestigious Hospitality to exclusive Residential projects in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, she concluded that at this phase of her life, the UAE is the ideal canvas for her brush.

Design to Ana Elia is naught but a means to materialize the fantastic and surreal. Her work on bespoke installations and customized chandeliers became her way to express creativity and the profound emotions that inspire her.
